Notes: Section 6 of the Údarás na Gaeltachta Act 1979, as substituted by s. 16 of the Gaeltacht Act 2012, provides that An tÚdarás shall consist of the following members: (i) a chairperson, who shall be appointed by the Minister; (ii) one ordinary member, who shall be appointed by the Minister, on the nomination of the county council of County Donegal; (iii) one ordinary member, who shall be appointed by the Minister, on the nomination of the county council of County Mayo; (iv) one ordinary member, who shall be appointed by the Minister, on the nomination of the county council of County Galway; (v) one ordinary member, who shall be appointed by the Minister, on the nomination of the county council of County Kerry; (vi) one ordinary member, who shall be appointed by the Minister for a period of 2 years on the nomination of each of the county councils of the counties of Cork, Meath and Waterford in accordance with paragraph (b); (vii) 6 ordinary members, who shall be appointed by the Minister.
