Notes: Under the Act, the Board shall consist of at least 5 and not more than 10 directors (including its chairperson and the chief executive officer); the Chief Executive Officer is an ex officio Director and one of the persons appointed is nominated by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU). Uisce Éireann was previously known as Irish Water. The Water Services (Amendment) Act 2022 changed Irish Water’s name to Uisce Éireann, separated Uisce Éireann from its parent company, Ervia, and provided a primary legislative basis for appointments to the Uisce Éireann Board.
